About This Item

Leipzig: Ernst Keil. Very Good. 1878. Edition in Very Good condition with rubbing to the boards with faded discoloration on the front board. There is an inscription on the front flyleaf; Goldelse tells the story of a young girl, Lotte, who is sent to live with her uncle in a small, isolated town in the Alps after her parents are killed in a car crash. Lotte is excited to start her new life, but soon discovers that her uncle is a recluse who doesn't want her around. Lonely and bored, Lotte begins to explore her new home. She soon discovers that the town is full of secrets, and that the people there are not what they seem. Lotte begins to make new friends, and learns that the town is home to a group of witches who are trying to stop a war between two magical civilizations. Lotte must figure out who to trust, and must decide whether she wants to help the witches stop the war or stay hidden and safe. Goldelse is a captivating story that will keep readers guessing until the very end.; 399 pages; 1 lb .
