About This Item
New York: E. P. Dutton, 1980. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. 242pp. Octavo [21.6cm]. 1/4 black cloth and beige paper over boards. Head and tail edge of boards slightly faded. Head and tail of spine very slightly rubbed. Pages age toned. Illustrated unclipped dust jacket with one small tear measuring 1.75cm long at the spine. Front tail edge of dust jacket has a major crease measuring about 13 cm, and has a minor crease measuring about 4cm at the head edge. From Publisher: Good News asks us to look around and take stock of what we value before it is too late. The "unthinkable" has always been "thinkable." Abbey's world contains all our follies: the viciousness of politicians and police, the degradation of people and nature, the exercise of raw power. This satire offers a new vision, even a moral view of the world.
