E-250. Very Good. Hardcover. Hardcover. 8vo. Published by Harper & Brothers, New York, 1934. 88 pages. Illustrated. First Edition/First Printing. DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ has closed tears present to the edges of the DJ). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities (bump present to the heel of the spine). No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. First published by Scribner's under the title "Hard Wood," a short novel set at the outset of the American Civil War; a story of murder and revenge. Burnett's Dark Command (1938) also recounted an episode occurring during the American Civil War. Burnett was best known for his novels Iron Man and his books-into-film crime classic, Little Caesar. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
