Published in First Edition state for the Seattle Art Museum by Spink & Son, London, 1967, a Fine condition hardcover copy measuring 11" x 13" wide and tall, respectively. Slight forward cock to spine, being bound in brown cloth, with a beautiful gilt illustration to front cover, a hand holding perhaps a sceptre or a sheaf of wheat or a quiver of arrows, and sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. [8], 9-221 pp. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear beyond crimp to rear flap, protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped. Illustrated from the collection at the Seattle Art Museum. Illustrated endpapers, being a map of the Hellenistic world. Foreword by Richard E. Fuller, then sections devoted to money prior to coinage, the transition to coinage, weight standards, a Greek mint, and then coins from Greece, Macedon & Thrace, East Greece, Sicily, Magna Graecia and Royal Portrait coins.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
