London: Macmillan and Co, 1910. First Edition, Third Printing. Hardcover. Good. First edition, third printing of Lieut.-Col. J.H. Patterson's In the Grip of the Nyika.. Octavo, xiv, [2], 389pp, [3], [2pp ads]. Blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, illustration in gilt on front cover. Top edge gilt. Illustrated with numerous black and white photographs and maps. Text block cracked in a few places, but still holding. Toning to endpapers, few pages chipped but not affecting text. Corners and edges bumped and lightly rubbed. Spine ends worn, headcap frayed. Previous owner's name written in pencil on front free endpaper. A good example.
