About This Item
New York: G.E. Stechert, 1914. 1st ed. . Green Cloth. VG. 15.5 Cms x 23.5 Cms. f/piece portrait with tissue=guard + 144 pp., 7 further photo-plates ex-pagination; clean, tight & unmarked, incipient paper splitting to rear gutter, David Shakow's ex-lib.plate fr.pastedown and on facing free endpaper yellow label: University of Akron/ Bierce Library/ Archives of the History of American Psychology/ from/ David Shakow', faint browning strips to pastedowns and endpapers suggest this once had a jacket. A slipped in 13 x 10.5 cm (5 x 4 inches) picture of a miniature village in a garden inscr. 'G.Stanley Hall, Story of a Sand Pile' (at one time fixed to rear pastedown but now loose) - this is probably Hall's own inscription to judge from its similarity to his signature on f/piece, though cannot be quite certain of this. Covers clean with gilt lettering to sp., outer corners a little rubbed/bumped, more so at bottom.
