Not Stated: The Literary Guild of America, 1932 20 volumes; HBs. Not dated, but van Doren was with the Literary Guild from 1926 to 1934, so within that range. Library of Congress indicates ca. 1932. Pages: clean, bright, tight, f.e. deckled, decorative blue eps, 10 of the 20 volumes have blue topstain, small frontis; a.e. med tanned, PO names inked to either ep or ffep of each volume. Cover: med blue, silver logo (an art deco eagle) front/spine, and silver ruling/titles spine; light to modest shelfwear, extrems a bit worn, spines sunned. Some volumes have additional modest defects: small dampstains or other stains, specks, or tiny tears. Overall, Very Good to Very Good (-) condition. Includes: The Brothers Karamazov, Notre Dame de Paris, Thais, Tales (Poe), Henry Esmond, Fathers and Sons, Wuthering Heights, Nana, Madame Bovary, Pride and Prejudice, The Three Musketeers, Sapho, David Copperfield, Four Plays (Ibsen), The Return of the Native, Confessions (St. Augustine), Travels (Marco Polo), Autobiography (Cellini), The Way of all Flesh, and Green Mansions. Wonderful complete collection. Scarce to find the 20 volumes together. Heavy.
