About This Item
Paris: Imprimerie Jules Boyer, 1875. Hardcover. Paper pastedown. Cloth spine. Very Good Plus. Scarce album of designs for kiosks, chalets and small villas -- lovely pleasure pavilions and follies, many can be. No copies whatsoever found on OCLC or elsewhere. Folio, 35 by 27 cm. Secondary title page (front cover serves as the primary title page), followed by 30 plates, each with a single design. Each plate is dominated by an elevation of the design, below which is a ruled scale and a simple architectural design outline -- as most of these are single room, this amounts to a geometric shape and little more in those instances. Quite extraordinary architectural "trade catalogue" -- besides being scarce in itself, it is a type of catalogue that was also uncommon at the date of its issue. Light wear.
