About This Item
Ditchling Common, Sussex, 1934.. Small quarto. Stiff dark brown wrapper with wraparound printed label, fore and bottom edges wholly untrimmed. Illustrated with two wood-engravings by David Jones and other facsimiles and illustrations. Modest tanning and a trace of foxing to the label, otherwise a very good to near fine, unopened copy. First edition. One of 250 numbered copies printed by hand in Caslon Old Face on Batchelor handmade paper, signed by the author. An excellent presentation of the text of this lecture, itself a beautiful manifestation of the hand-wrought virtues it discusses. CLEVERDON 28. TAYLOR & SEWELL A233.
