London: John Murray, 1894. Second edition. Hardcover. Good. maps, (around 34 folding, including all 9 folding maps at the end as well as the railway map in the cover pocket), lxiii, 484p. Hardcover in original red cloth which had been rebacked in matching modern red leather. 18 cm. Ex lib. with internal library markings (some embosed stamps, remnants of a card pocket and the original library bookplate) for Galena Public Library -- from John C. Smith, 1832-1910, one of the lesser known of Galena's nine Civil War Generals). A former owner (General Smith?) has added some penciled travel notes and underlinings on a few pages. Some cover wear. The cover pocket also contains two other items, both with later folds: (1) a small (17 x 26 cm.) broadside advertisement for Gold, Silver and Silk Embrodery and other items available from Dabi Dass, at Purtabpura, near near Laurie's Hotel in Agra; and (2) a broadsheet (15 x 22 cm.) containing on one side an undated Thos. Cook & Son's "Specimen Itinerary for a Three Weeks Tour in India, Starting from Calcutta."
