With all requisite points as called for by Younger and Hirsch: 295/295 present on the First Issue dust jacket, 'Yertle the Turtle' and 'The Cat in the Hat Comes Back' are printed last on the dual lists on the back dust jacket flap, the white dots are present beneath the text 'gits and Getz,' etc. 4to. Unpaginated, Complete. Bound in the original publisher pictorial paper-covered boards. VERY GOOD in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable mylar cover. The book itself shows shelf rubbing along the edges and corners with slight loss, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text and illustrations are clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and colorful. The dust jacket shows shelf rubbing along the edges and corners with come shallow closed tears and bouts of creasing, head and foot of the spine are somewhat chipped, otherwise is not price-clipped remaining bright, colorful and distinct. As pictured.

According to the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records, "Happy Birthday to You" is the most recognized song in the English language, followed by "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "Auld Lang Syne". The song's base lyrics have been translated into at least 18 languages.
