Worrall of Birmingham. A lyrical and symphonic poetry anthology by Alphonse de Lamartine, important French author who played a major part in the foundation of the Second Republic. In the original French. This collection was inspiration for the cycle of piano pieces written by Franz Liszt under the same title. In a charming half vellum binding. In a half vellum binding over marbled board, with gilt to the edges, marbled endpapers. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, light soiling and rubbing to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Odd light spotting to the odd leaf, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
