Contains the text of six lectures delivered by the author at the Royal Institution during the Christmas holidays 1920-21. The lectures are, ''The School of the Shore'', ''The Open Sea'', ''The Great Deeps'', ''The Fresh Waters'', ''The Conquest of the Dry Land'', and ''The Mastery of the Air''. 272pp, 19 b&w plates, 32 illustrations.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
