About This Item
1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. Scarce local sociological study of Hawaiian people and culture published in same year as attack on Pearl Harbor, occasional smudges, col. frp and col. map of Islands of Polynesia by Levett Bradley, 1st edn, general wear to book especially covers (part of the attack?), many drawings by Rosamond S. Morgan and Juliette M. Fraser, 193pps w/index, folk tales, Hawaiian word glossary, ex library copy (remains of pocket on rear pastedown.). Stamps of US Naval Construction Battalion #121 on eps which was stationed on Maui Island in 1943 (did they help rebuild PH?). Nice association.
