Philadelphia: Chilton Company Publishers, [1962]., 1962. First edition. First edition. Advance review copy. Cloth, xii, 231pp., acknowledgment, introduction, plates, portraits, maps. Six Guns 2009 says: "A biography of a famous deputy U.S. Marshal, containing much information on many of the Oklahoma outlaws." Heck Thomas was a lawman, most notably in Indian Territory. He was among the lawmen who ended the run of the Wild Bunch, also known as the Doolin-Dalton Gang. In 1896 Thomas led a posse that tracked down and killed outlaw Bob Doolin. Very good in dust jacket with minor edgewear and sunning to spine.
