Philadelphia & Boston: Carey, Lea & Blanchard and Allen & Ticknor, 1834. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First American Edition, also published by Harper in the same year. Two volumes. Marbled paper-covered boards with leather tips and spine. The spine is ruled, embossed, and filled with gilt, Clean text; 207 pages and 204 pages. edges are rubbed to a fray; both are cracking at the spine, and there are flood marks scattered through the pages. Please note the condition issues. Although far from disbound, Quercus must offer this as a Reading Copy, in need of repair or restoration. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
