London, Arthur H. Stockwell Ltd., No date, circa 1931. Hardback, 7.5 x 5 inches. In maroon textured cloth coverts with gilt lettering to spine and front. In illustrated dustwrapper. In very good condition with very good dustwrapper (DW, tear and creases to top front edge, handling marks, tears to edges of spine some loss to ends, not price clipped.) Some fading to cloth on spine and top corner. Authors inscription to front endpaper “ ‘The Miners Core’ (otherwise Edith and May!) With the Authors compliments!” With dated and initialed letter “I am sending you a little memento of pleasant days in Dorchester Road...” Dated Aug. 18th 1931, and with embossed address, “Sunways, Ventnor.” Loose news clipping “Beauty Order for Hardy Country” also inside. Some minor foxing spots to edge of title page and first text page. Some foxing to pages near plates else pages very clean and tight throughout. Else a very clean and tight copy. 77pp. Illustrated with 4 full-page B&W plates.
