London: G and W B Whittaker, 1824. Leather. Very Good. 7.5" by 4.5". None. A history of nobility in Heraldic Anomalies or, 'rank confusion in our orders of precedence. With disquisitions, moral, philosophical, and historical, on all the existing orders of society. By it matters not Who.' With the occasional illustration. In two volumes complete. Second edition. Edward Nares (1762 - 1841) was an English historian and theologian, and general writer. With a preface by Nares to front of volume one. Previous owner's bookplates to front pastedowns and front free endpapers. In half calf bindings with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, smart but with slight wear to extremities and with slight rubbing and marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Bright but with occasional slight background foxing in places. With institutional ink stamp and annotations to verso of title to volume one only. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
