Signed in blue ink to the title page. Includes a loose letter from A.E.Jones - the university archivist to a Mr Smail - the grandson of the of the Smail who was the principal of Heriot-Watt college - and who features in chapter six of the book. So the book was owned by the grandson of James Cameron Smail. No other inscriptions. A very good, clean, tight copy in like jacket. The head and tail of the spine and a couple of corners of the front board bumped. The jacket has not been price-clipped. A very good, clean, tight copy in like jacket.
