London: John Camden Hotten, 1867. 2nd Edition. Cloth. Very Good. 11cm x 16.5 cm. 102 + [49] pp. 2nd edition. Green cloth, stamped gilt decoration and titling. AEG. Inscribed by author and royal hat-maker, Henry Melton on ffep dated Oct. 16, 1868. Scuffing to cloth. Spine is re-backed with original cloth laid on. Half-title has been re-attached with ghosting from inscription. Clipped Daily Telegraph article affixed over first five leaves of advertisements at rear, dated May 11, 1881. Charming, illustrated meditation on millinery.
