An uncommon first edition copy of this fascinating guide on shooting for young sportsmen, with additional attention to given such other sports as boating, sailing, and sea-loch fishing. Featuring a tipped in bookplate of a 'Alexander Fairlie Cuningham', possibly from the line of Fairlie-Cuninghame baronets. With publisher's advertisements to the rear of the text. In a signed Westleys binding, rebacked, with original cloth boards and spine preserved. Rebacked, with original cloth boards and spine preserved. Externally, minor bumping to extremities. Slight fading to spine and extremities of boards. The odd small handling mark to boards. Hinges slightly split and strained, more severe to rear hinge. Prior owner's bookplate tipped to front pastedown. Bookseller's label tipped to front pastedown, with binders label tipped to rear pastedown. Light tidemark to upper extremity of endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages age toned to edges but clean, with the odd spot to the occasional page. Very Good
