Substantial portions of this book were previously published in book form in Early Tales of the Atomic Age (1948) and The Man in the Thick Lead Suit (1954). A true story of individuals from wartime operatives of the Counter-Intelligence Corps who hushed up the existence of the atomic-bomb project, to the theoretically ideal astronaut: a woman midget from the Andes with a Ph.D. in physics; from puzzled sighters of flying saucers to abomb-making scientist who considers his work "boring."
