The ninth edition of George Adam's Smith interesting work exploring the relationship between the physical features of Israel and its religious development. With four folding maps. The ninth edition of George Adam Smith's interesting work on the geography of the Holy Land. With four folding maps, but lacking the general map of Palestine called for in a pocket at the rear of the volume. In this attractively rebound volume, the Scottish theologian draws on his visits to the Holy Land to sketch a geography of Palestine. As well as reflecting on the relationship between geography and biblical criticism, Smith explores how Israel's physical features may have contributed to its religious development. Prior owner's stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. The book previously belonged to Rev. J. H. Williams Rebound in a green cloth binding. Externally smart. Lightly rubbed to the joints and the spine, with a little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Except for the pages surrounding the plates, where there is some light spotting, pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
