First printing Very good+ in red cloth covered boards with faded gilt text stamping on the spine and with a gilt embossed decoration on the front board. A small octavo measuring 8" by 5" with rubbing and wear to the cloth at the head of the spine. Without its issued dust jacket. 387 pages of text illustrated with reproductions of earlier works of art. A collection of thirteen short stories.
