London: John Murray, 1853. 1st. Hardcover. Near fine. Bound in burgundy half leather and marbled boards, 4 raised bands on gilt stamped and decorated spines. Gilt ruled covers, top edges gilt, silk placement ribbons bound in at the heads. Light rubbing to edges and extremities. With frontis portrait and fold-out map in volume 1, frontispieces also in volumes 2 & 3.
