About This Item

Chicago: Donohue, Henneberry & Co., 1890. Hardcover. Very Good. Brown cloth boards to all 5 volumes are in very good condition with most shelfwear to the head and heal of the spines. Gilt to spines is bold and clear with the exception of the top word ("Macaulay's") on the spine of volume 5 which is slightly worn, but by all means fully legible. Binding and text block are solid and firm; pages are gently yellowing, with some minor foxing, but otherwise are clean, not marked, and not bent, with the exception again of volume 5 which has creases to the top right-hand corner of the flyleaf.

This is another great 5 volume set of English History from a Whig and political view from a standpoint other than the what you normally would read.I would love it in my collection and may have to seriously entertain its purchase.C.E.HUGGINS RARE BOOKS
