Written from a Whig point of view, the author provides a detailed look at the history of England from 1702 to 1832. The author is probably best known for his 5-volume "The History of England from the Accession of James II." With several black & white illustrations, including frontis portrait of a younger Macaulay. Indexed. Edited and supplemented by Peter Rowland, with an introduction by J. P. Kenyon. --- Bound in full red cloth-covered boards with spine titling & decorations in gilt, with additional spine ornamentation in red; tan topstain. Volume is housed in a tan paper-covered slipcase. --- An about-Fine, well-preserved copy lacking markings or significant damages. Slipcase also in great shape.
