No Place: Fifteenth Regiment Association, Publisher, 1900. Cloth. Good/No Jacket. Blue cloth. 624 pp. With black and white photos throughout. A history of the fifteenth Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers during the Civil War, providing rosters of the troops in the various companies, as well as first hand accounts and commentary on their action in the Civil War, including the siege of Port Hudson. This was a lengthy battle and siege on a strongly fortified Confederate position on the Mississippi River, which the Union Army felt was crucial in controlling access to the river. GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy soiling to the covers, with uneven darkening and fading. Minor scuffing. Some fraying to the cloth along the extremities. Spine faded and discolored, with some areas of discoloration to the rear cover. Binding cocked. Interior hinges weakening. Text block solid with minor scattered soiling and very light scattered foxing. Faint to moderate dampstaining present along the page extremities throughout the book.
