Richard Bentley, 1838. Book. Very Good. hardback. hardback, five volumes complete, octavos, bound in green half calf which has faded to brown on spines, marbled paper covered boards, all edges marbled, lettered gilt on black morocco to two compartments of spines, rubbed to extremities, the bindings remains tight, small bookplate of a previous owner to the front pastedowns together with the signature of a later owner in a small hand. There is a stamp of 'The Exiles Club' applied to either the front blank or the [blank] recto of the frontis. Whilst the text is free of marking there is some scattered browning and the b&w plates are foxed to varying degrees. Because of weight, a request for additional postage may be made if ordered from certain locations outside the United Kingdom..
