The History of the Hobbit, a 3 volume box set from Houghton Mifflin, 1st US Edition, 1st impression of 2007. A beautiful boxed set of the definitive examination of how Tolkien came to write his original masterpiece, including the complete unpublished draft and little-known illustrations and unpublished maps, along with a new edition of the classic work itself. These books and publishers slipcase are all in Near Fine condition. Dustjackets are in a protective mylar jacket, and are not price clipped. No previous owners names or any writing noted. One neatly repaired upper corner of the slipcase, where it was just starting to split. Digital photo's available, inquire if interested. Buyers specifying a Missouri shipping address will be charged a 5.95% sales tax, that will be added to their book purchase. Full refund will be furnished if listing is inaccurate or shipment is damaged. Refunds for full purchase price, less shipping and insurance, for any reason. Returns need to be authorized prior to their return shipment within 14 days of your receipt. Books must be returned in the same condition as received, return shipments must be fully insured.
