The History of the Hobbit, a 3 volume box set from Houghton Mifflin, 1st US Edition, 1st impression of 2007. A beautiful boxed set of the definitive examination of how Tolkien came to write his original masterpiece, including the complete unpublished draft and little-known illustrations and unpublished maps, along with a new edition of the classic work itself. These books and publishers slipcase are all in Near Fine condition. Dustjackets are in a protective mylar jacket, and are not price clipped. No previous owners names or any writing noted.
