A History of Painting: The British Genius by Haldane Macfall, being the seventh volume in a series of eight on A History of Painting published between 1911 and 1912. First edition. The seventh volume of an eight volume set. Illustrated with nineteen plates in colour tipped-in, a map of the British Isles and a foldout Chart of the British Painters. Dedicated to Prime Minister Herbert Henry Asquith and his wife. In a cloth binding with oval colour plate tipped-in to front board. Externally, smart with only slight wear to extremities and very slight rubbing and marks to boards. Hinges slightly strained. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and generally clean but with handling marks and spotting to text block edges and slight foxing to endpapers only. Very Good Indeed
