About This Item

Philadelphia, PA: George G. Evans, 1888. Revised Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Tall 8vo. vi(3)160pp. plus 11pp. of advertisements for generic contemporary businesses. Sharp New and Revised Edition, originally published in 1885. Bound in publisher's deep maroon cloth with titles and coin motif stamped in gilt on front board. Titles in gilt on spine. Illustrated with numerous portraits and reproduction of coins. Square, tight and quite clean throughout save some minor toning to top page edge. Some plates have a bit of foxing to edges but quite light and scattered. A touch of wear to spine ends and even less on tips. Spotting to the spine is main flaw. Still, a handsome, solid collectable copy.
