Featuring a light cruiser among the fastest ships in the world, which is being pushed too hard in the aftermath of a mutiny. The Guns of Navarone, 1957. Concerning the efforts of an Allied commando team to destroy a seemingly impregnable German fortress threatening Allied naval ships and preventing British Army soldiers from being rescued in the Aegean Sea. South by Java Head, 1958. Set in the immediate aftermath of the Battle of Singapore, following the British stronghold of Singapore as it falls to the invading Imperial Japanese Army.
