Has an extensive, well annotated bibliography of the original editions and reprints in the various Beadle series of novels, pamphlets, songbooks, periodicals, etc. There are biographies of Beadle authors including Oliver Optic, William Cody (Buffalo Bill), Edward Ellis, Henry Herbert (Frank Forrester), Col. Judson (Ned Buntline), Frederick Marryat, Ouida, Cpt. The three volumes are uniformly bound in the original gilt-stamped pale orange cloth. Volumes 1 and 2 lack the original slipcase. Volume 3 is complete with dust jacket.
