This is a collection of ghostly tales by a variety of authors.Also containing short ghost stories by Gelett Burgess, Eden Phillpotts, Ellis Parker Butler, Frank R. Stockton, Brander Matthews and Richard Middleton.Edited by Dorothy Scarborough (1878-1935), an American author of ghost stories and American culture.Bound with two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, spine label is a little worn, as is the title to the front cover. Ownership stamp to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean with just the occasional instance of spotting. Very Good
