London: Kegan Paul, Trench and Company, 1886. Hardcover. Octavo, ix, xiii, xvi, 347 pages. In Good condition. Bound in the publisher's red cloth bearing gilt lettering to the spine. Boards show moderate wear including slight staining/sunning to the spine, few instances of chips to the spines edges, rubbing wear to the edges and faint soiling to front/rear. Slight cocking to the spine. Text block has age toning to the edges. Cracking to the hinges. Bookplate remnant to the front pastedown, some offsetting and slight pencil to the end papers. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Very slight age toning and sparse, minor marks interiorly. Illustrated. NOTE: Shelved in Netdesk Column H, ND-H.
