Rome: Scuola Archeologica di Atene, 1942. Paperback. Good. Offprint from Annuario della R. Scuola Archeologica di Atene vol. III-IV Nuova Serie, 1941-42. [4], 11-74 p.: illustrations, plans; 31 cm. Plain wrapper printed in black. Stamped at lower edge of front wrapper and on one page: "Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology, Bryn Mawr College." Former owner's name at upper edge of first page: Mary H. Swindler. Mary Hamilton Swindler (1884-1967) was the author of Ancient Painting (1930) and taught archaeology and classics at Bryn Mawr College. The author, Luisa Banti (1894-1978), was an Italian archaeologist, art historian, and educator who specialized in the Etruscan and Minoan civilizations. Scarce. In Good Condition: wrapper is scraped along spine; remains of library identification at head of spine on front wrapper; faint dampstain along fore-edge and lower edge of front wrapper and first 2 leaves; otherwise, clean and solid.
