Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1881. Hardbound. VG, some small and light blemishes to the bindings. Inner front hinge of Vol. 11 has split paper, but cloth is holding firm. Both inner hinges of Vol. 2 are like this, as well. Solid tight and clean. Green publishers cloth with beveled edges, simple gilt title on front covers and spine. 2 volumes. Vol. 1:xviii, 398 pp. Vol 2: vi, pp. 1-426. No illustrations. A very attractive set, made all the btter by the autographed note from Bryant to a Mr. Phelps from 1851, complying with a request for aan autograph.
