Originally Issued In 24 Parts 1833-1834 With 120 Plates In Total, Then With All Plates Bound In Two Volumes, Then Later The Complete Set Of 123 Plates With 3 Vignettes Was Published In 3 Volumes Incorporated Into Sets With Explanatory Text Included, As In These Examples. Heraldic Bookplates Of Edward Candler Of Morton Pinkney, "Ad Mortem Fidelis", And Large Engraved Bookplates Of Reese And Kathryn Taylor (Reese Hale Taylor Was Chairman Of Union Oil; Small Bookseller Labels Of "George M. Millard / Rare And Imported Books / 645 Prospect Crescent / Pasadena", The Business Name Of George And Alice Parsons Millard (1873 - 1938). Alice Was The Premier Pasadena Rare Book Dealer, Operating From "La Miniature". The House Frank Lloyd Wright Designed And Built For Her On The Banks Of The Arroyo Seco (He Had Previously Designed A House For Them In Highland Park, Near Chicago); After Her Husband Died, She Continued The Business Under His Name. Bindings Worn, Front Boards Detached But Present; Rebinding Would Cost Approximately $1000.
