Pamphlet format, 8vo, blue wrappers, 59 pp. Wrappers are chipped and worn at the spine and extremities, a few pieces missing from spine, Ex library copy, bookplates and library sign out sheet on endpapers, normal aging and toning; otherwise a good copy.One of 250 copies (number 236 is hand written on copy right page). This work was privately printed by William Gwinn Mather, a descendant of the Mathers. Increase Mather (1639-`723) was one of the most important and prolific clergymen in early New England. He was president of Harvard College, and his religious writings had an important impact on American Religious thought during the early colonial period. The present work provides a list of close to two hundred titles published by Mather. ANB.
