About This Item

London / New York: E. & F. N. Spon / Spon & Chamberlain, 1894. First Edition. Cloth. Good. First Edition. xi, [1 blank], 162 pages plus 32 pages catalog of Spon published books dated 1894 in rear. 4 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches. Original blue cloth with gilt lettering and slick yellow endpapers. This copy was clearly a working copy, with checkmarks in pencil throughout, and occasional browning and smudges. Cloth. An interesting reference book that shows many quackery devices and talks about how many of them work. Still, a scarce book in the marketplace and a must for anyone interested in medical electricity. The first of at least 2 editions of this work published.
