About This Item
Leavitt & Allen, New York This is a most peculiar book: a compilation of a VERSION of Dickens' PICTURES FROM ITALY plus 2 works translated from the French by Lady Duff Gordon - CRUSADES IN AFRICA and THE PRISONERS OF ABD-EL-KADER, or Five Months Captivity Among the Arabs. All of this is under the title "Italy and Africa. 7 3/4" X 5 3/8" in blind stamped brown cloth with gilt spine lettering. The book is moderately soiled with a little fraying at the spine ends. Some foxing: about GOOD or better condition. No publication date, but apparently mid-19th century. 451 total pp.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
