About This Item
London: Thames & Hudson, 1996. This is a fine hardcover copy with a near fine dust jacket with almost no wear. Completely clean. Text in English and German. Introduction by John Jacobus. This is the 1996 reprint of the Thames & Hudson, 1975 first edition. James Stirling's career can effectively be divided between this early work, 38 projects, from 1950 to 1974, and then the second half of his working life when he joined forces with Michael Wilford. (That work is surveyed in the Thames & Hudson companion volume James Stirling, Michael Wilford and Associates, Buildings and Projects 1975 to 1992). James Stirling (1926- 1992) was one of England's most inventive and celebrated architects. Illustrated in black & white with vintage photographs, architectural plans, elevations, and details. 9" high X 11" wide, 183 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine.
