About This Item

Amsterdam : H.J.W. Becht, 1910. First edition. Colour pictorial paper covered boards, cloth spine, colour illustrated endpapers. Cover, title and ten full-page colour plates printed on thick card paper by Marie Hildebrandt. The boards are a little rubbed but still presentable. Inside, The front end paper has a closed tear and some creasing. There is a child's name written to the title page. The binding is rather loose, and each page has been reinforced with archival tape. A little darkening, but still presentable. Overall an acceptable used, but complete copy of this very scarce item. Large oblong. 230 x 310 mm (9 by 12¼ inches). 22 pages. . Planches couvertes de papier illustré en couleurs, dos en tissu, pages de garde illustrées en couleurs. Couverture, titre et dix planches en couleurs à pleine page imprimées sur du papier cartonné épais par Marie Hildebrandt. Les planches sont un peu frottées mais restent présentables. A l'intérieur, la première page de garde présente une déchirure et quelques plis. Un nom d'enfant est inscrit sur la page de titre. La reliure est assez lâche et chaque page a été renforcée avec du ruban adhésif d'archivage. Un peu de noircissement, mais encore présentable. Dans l'ensemble, il s'agit d'un exemplaire d'occasion acceptable mais complet de cet ouvrage très rare. Grand oblong 230 x 310 mm. 22 pages.
