Commentary and Questions, Ella DeMers - bound in yellow cloth with black, brown, and green stamping on the upper cover, and green and brown stamping on the spine. The covers show bumping to the corners and spine-ends - contents are bright and clean and signed/Inscribed by Jesse Stuart on the front free end-page, with another, more lengthy inscription and signature underneath. From the library of U.S. Navy Captain Herbert Goetz (1934-2020) who was hired by Jesse Stuart in 1957 to teach at McKell High School in Greenup County, Kentucky. The two became great friends and stayed connected until Jesse Stuart's death in 1984. Captain (and Navy Chaplain) Goetz was the model for "Otto" in "Mr. Gallion's School." .
