New York:: Harper And Brothers,, 1917.. First edition.. publisher's green cloth, gilt stamped, in dust jacket.. Front free endpapers tanned from jacket flaps; otherwise a bright, sharp copy. The jacket has some small chips and edgewear, not affecting any lettering, and the backstrip is a little tanned. A neat tissue repair to the verso of the jacket has been made at the bottom of the backstrip. . 8vo,. A scarce book. Laid in is Sinclair Lewis's engraved calling card, inscribed "To my very best booster Harry Korner, this my first really serious novel. S.L.," in tiny envelope, also addressed by Lewis. Harry Korner was a partner in a Cleveland bookshop.
