Binding tight and square, pages clean, unmarked, and paper well-preserved. To refer to this work as "a poem" is misleading, for it's resembled more a historical epic - many characters appear. Lincoln, Stonewall Jackson, Jeff Davis, and many others not so well known. 7.4" x 10.5" brown leather boards, gilt letters, design, and text block. with original brochure and card catalog laid in.
