New York: Macmillan, 1928. Sailor's memoirs as transcribed by Farrell; Captain Cameron, a Scot by birth, went to sea in 1867 at the age of seventeen "and for thirty years...sailed the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans" with frequent visits to Hawai'i. Hardcover, third printing in the year of publication. Full green cloth, gilt titling, black cover art, illustrated endsheets. Light wear to book, page edges lightly tanned, small nick to edge of half-title; jacket edgeworn with some chipping, short closed tears, associated creasing; longer tear to rear panel, once mended internally with yellowing tape; jacket spine tanned & faded. Text clean; xvii, [3], 461 pages, including about thirty pages of Farrell's notes, frontispoiece & 10 b/w photo plates, line drawings with the text. Scarce in the jacket.. Later Printing. Cloth. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Charles Kuhn. 6" by 9".
