In 1865, he co-founded one of the oldest and most prestigious law firms in the United States, the firm of Ropes & Gray. Blue cloth, titles & decoration gilt. With frontispiece, bibliography of his writings, reproduction of his bookplate as tail-piece, and complimentary card laid-in. Spine lightly sunned, light edge wear, otherwise clean & tight.
